Hey you! Welcome to the surfer blog!! First of all I think that everybody knows or has heard anything about surfing didn´t you? Well I suppose that most of you can tell me a simple definition about it like: that surf is a water sport in which athletes ride breaking waves or even anything about the surf equipment (the surfboard, or wetsuits) evidentely that´s what surf is about, but surfing is more than that! I mean do you think that surf is only a hobby? I personally consider that surfing is more serious than a hobby because you need a complete concentration and dedication on it to even stand up in the surfboard and mantain the equilibrium and also by the fact that you have to take control of the waves and that is something you can´t control, I have never try it but I think that it will be very fun and interesting to give it a try.
I also think that is very interesting because is a way to learn to control your mind because you learn to control yourself, and by it to achieve a point of meditation and see life in another way, and in purpose who don´t like to be at the beach ? it is proved that surfing can help your health conditions on yor muscles, arteries and even cardiac problems so why we don´t give it a try ?
While it’s difficult to create a totally objective qualifying criteria for those individuals who have had the most impact on the sport of surfing, we can mention some of the most important surfers of the era like: Kelly Slater who actually has his own video game, then we could mention, Cory Carroll who was the first surfer to be paid, and Linda Benson that was the all time winner of like almost every tournament it is impressionant what this caracters had achieved, in the next video you could see the top 10 waves of Kelly Slater in 2010.

I hope you like it!! I will like to hear your opinions about it, did you like it ? does surfing is interesting for you? or did you consider it a waste of time? :P See you next week!!
First of all, I really like your entry, I would follow your blog every week; second, I will like to share with you my opinion about surfing. I myself try surfing once, in a attraction park (I believe it was Sea World but I’m not sure) and I have to say, it’s a pretty difficult job to but your head in the game. I instantly fall from the surfboard and drink at least half a liter of pool water (because this surfing isn’t in the sea, its produces by artificial waves, not the same experience but pretty much a taste of what it is like). Believe me when I say I TRY, because I did; I bet I spend at least two hours in that attraction making the line and then falling in the pool, and over and over again. I didn’t manage to keep my balance and it was difficult and painful (I got a pretty big bruise in my left leg because I hit it with the surfboard like twice) but the experience was incredible (to the point I didn’t care I was such an embarrassment to my brother who could manage the balance). Something about surfing makes you feel the emotion of the waves, it’s just you and the waves, nothing more and nothing less; you have to concentrate as much as possible because if you have your mind somewhere else you will fall. I consider surfing one of the best sports someone can practice and enjoy in every way. =D
